HSBC Trinkaus: Diversity & Inclusion
It is our objective to treat all applicants and employees fairly, regardless of gender, age, marital status, religion or ethnic and social background. Our staff should feel like part of HSBC Trinkaus, their personalities and opinions should be respected and their diverse experiences should be appreciated.
We represent this objective through our Diversity & Inclusion approach. Diversity stands for variety and equal opportunities. Inclusion means valuing and involving all employees within the organisation. At HSBC Trinkaus, Diversity & Inclusion also means supporting the diverse capabilities of our employees by providing equal opportunities and to specifically develop our staff further by implementing different activities.
In an increasingly homogeneous and standardised world we rely on the fact that people from different cultures with individual backgrounds and personalities can provide a valuable contribution to the bank. This not only enriches the co-operation across business divisions, but it is also reflected in competitive advantages. We are convinced that the diversity of people and ideas are the essential fuel for progress and success.
Equal opportunities are a vital source for growth and success
HSBC Trinkaus employs people with diverse, individual backgrounds: more than 30 nationalities are represented in the bank, our teams have a heterogeneous age structure and about half of the total staff is female. Moreover, women are represented on all business levels, including the management board.
We have taken a variety of actions related to Diversity & Inclusion. Different initiatives such as the company's kindergarten, the co-operation with "pme Familienservice", an external institution, and flexible working opportunities have been implemented successfully. With these measures we strive to improve the work/life balance for our employees. In addition, the international exchange of personnel within the HSBC Group is steadily increasing. By signing the "Charter of Diversity", HSBC Trinkaus officially commits to a working environment which is characterised by mutual respect, appreciation and trust. We also address the issue of "anti-discrimination" in various ways and conduct, amongst other initiatives, mandatory training sessions to avoid unfair treatment. In this way, HSBC Trinkaus actively implements the concept of Diversity & Inclusion and endeavours to carry on developing it further in the future.
