Are your ready for banking?

How long does an internship last?

The length of your internship varies from one area of deployment to the next and is agreed with you individually, but should last at least ten weeks. As an intern you are part of the team from the beginning on, supporting you colleagues in day-to-day business and taking on assignments in current projects. You are of course shown the ropes and receive intensive on-the-job training.

Which areas come into question?

HSBC Trinkaus covers the entire range of sophisticated and innovative financial services. Based on our long tradition, we are active not only on the stock markets and capital markets, but also service wealthy private clients, corporate clients and institutional clients, often in close cooperation with the HSBC Group.

This orientation of our business activity opens up many different deployment opportunities for our interns. The area you chose should therefore correspond above all to your interests and inclinations.

You can find more information on current vacancies here.

What should you bring with you?

So that you can take on interesting assignments as part of the team from the beginning on, you should fulfil the following basic requirements:

  • You are following an economics-related course of studies.
  • You have good to very good course achievements so far.
  • You successfully completed the fourth semester at the beginning of the internship.
  • You are confident using MS Office (in particular PowerPoint and Excel).
  • You have a good command of both spoken and written German and English.
  • You have good social skills.

Depending on the area of deployment, there are also possibly further special requirements (for example programming knowledge or initial practical experience) which you can find in the respective job description.

How can you apply?

Please apply online in our Job Portal via the corresponding job description or also send a speculative application.

Should you be interested in several internship offers, please submit your application only once. We will of course consider your application for all areas you state in your letter.

How do you apply for an internship abroad?
